Water Mission Responding to Hurricane Helene Devastation
On Thursday, September 26, Hurricane Helene unleashed its devastating Category 4 fury upon the southeastern United States. The storm caused severe flooding, claimed more than 150 lives, caused up to $35 billion in estimated damage, and left millions of people without power or safe water.
In response to Hurricane Helene’s devastation, Water Mission deployed our disaster response team to the hardest-hit areas in North Carolina, starting in Boone. Currently, our team has 18 water treatment systems either operational or in the set-up process, with over 180,000 gallons of safe water produced. Each system provides safe water to up to 5,000 people daily. Additionally, we have distributed 124,000 water purification packets and more than 1,000 generators.
But we're only meeting a fraction of the need, and we need your help. Our team on the ground continues to work tirelessly to provide electricity and safe water to affected communities. Please join us in prayer and support to help those in desperate circumstances. Give today to bless families affected during this critical time.

Please note in the event that more funds are donated than can be used by this specific need, or if this need changes, Water Mission will use your gifts in a way that most closely aligns with your original intent and the mission of the organization.
